Hi I'll ask the team. But might be a good one to ask the Discord community?

Hey ,
Just wanted to follow up on this one.
I searched Discord and someone mentioned there an idea of using an Email+Password account for e2e tests.
Since our users are using Email+Code, not Email+Password, it would be great to test the Email+Code user flow.
I’m wondering if there is some way, maybe using the Management API, to generate tokens for testing.
I know things are constantly evolve, so it would be good to know what’s the latest recommendation from the Kinde team on e2e testing these days. Thanks 🙏

Okay we will get back to you on more guidance on email+code flow.
FYI, email+code is a bit trickier as you need to have an email client to receive emails.

I was hoping to have some sort of special header or something that we could pass during testing and get the code back via an API rather than relying on email client

There are a lot of security concerns with passing a OTP code via API, we will have to think of another way to enable you to have e2e testing for email+code flow.

We will get back to you.

that’s fair, would love to see a secure way 🙂

Hey ,
Just letting you know we havent forgotten about this query to help you implement e2e tests on cypress.
I will continue to update you on this next week.
